Back to Painting Again

Processed with MOLDIV

I am so happy to be back into the practice of painting again! Painting brings me so much joy, and seeing these portraits together like this, makes me very happy…it means I am working (playing) again on the easel!

Let me introduce you to the newest portraits…

FindingMyVoice2

Finding My Voice – 9 x 12 inch acrylic on stretched canvas

I completely fell in love with laying down brush strokes and crazy lines again! So fun! She has such a sweet look on her face, like she is figuring out her story.

SleepingBeauty2

Sleeping Beauty – 5 x 7 inch acrylic on Ampersand Gessobord

I have made quite a few of these “dreamy” portraits over the last few years. There is something about painting them with their eyes closed, that is so calming for me. She is the newest in the Dream series.

LittleOne

Little One –  3.5 x 3.5 inch acrylic on real wood slice

I was gifted these wood slices by a fellow artist, and I was so happy to use them for painting small portraits. They remind me of painting on tea bags, which I had a slight addiction for (do you remember?) I love her mysterious look, that side glance gets me every time!

WorthRemembering3

Worth Remembering – 11 x 14 inch acrylic on professional Raymar panel

This one…she has quite the personality! That straightforward gaze came quickly during the painting process, and those eyes staring back at me, was a little disconcerting. I am working on loose brush strokes, color, and leaving the brush marks as they lay…I love how she “sits” regally on this panel.

I am happy to say I have updated my Etsy shop with these newest portraits. Click on the images above to take you to each of their individual listings.

I wanted to say thank you to all who participated in the Flash Sale this past weekend on my Etsy shop! Eight paintings and one drawing sold, and I am so grateful for all those who came to support me by purchasing or commenting on my art. It really means so much to me!

I will be back shortly to share more of my new paintings.

Until then, have a wonderful weekend!

    1. Thank you so much for saying so, Dianne! That means so much to me…I strive to make them all unique, though they tend to have some of the same qualities. I enjoy painting them so much.
