Portrait of Tasha

Portrait of Tasha – 9 x 12 inch mixed media on stretched canvas

I am enjoying collage again, which is something I used to do years ago. In this painting, I combined the flowers, which are from paper napkins, with acrylic paint and the young woman’s portrait. I love using unexpected things in my art.

Tasha was inspired by the art of Elisabeth Sonrel, an artist from Britain, of the Art Nouveau movement. She made such beautiful portraits of women, usually among flowers. We learned about her in our Let’s Face It 2018 class, a few weeks ago. I loved her style, and I loved combining it with my own.

Portrait of Tasha is now available in my Etsy shop, ArtcyLucy.
