Portrait of Aveline

Portrait of Aveline – 11 x 14 inch acrylic on Raymar panel

We were studying the art of the Impressionists during the Let’s Face It 2018 class, and I just loved it! I enjoy studying the art of the French impressionists, and when I look closely at their work, I wish I could get looser in my own brush strokes.

When I studied the paintings of Berthe Morisot, I knew I wanted to do a painting with a lady with a hat and feathers. I started this portrait over an existing painting, that was not very successful. But it added a lot of texture underneath.

I love how this portrait turned out. She’s full of personality, isn’t she?

Portrait of Aveline is now available on my Etsy shop, ArtcyLucy.
