Inspired by Matisse…again

Back in 2014, I was taking a class called Studying Under the Masters, and I fell head over heels with the portraits of Henri Matisse. I wanted to paint just like that…and so he inspired me with color. He still does.

Paloma

Paloma – 5 x 7 inch acrylic on gessobord

Elle

Elle – 5 x 7 inch acrylic portrait on gessobord

Alena1

Alena – 5 x 7 inch acrylic portrait on gessobord

I painted these three at the same time. I love using the same color palette, yet changing it up three different ways. I hope to do more painting like this in the near future.

All three of these colorful portraits are now available in my Etsy shop, ArtcyLucy.

For my art blog readers, I am offering free shipping with the code SPRINGFREE (just add that to the discount/coupon area in the cart) or click here for the discount to take effect before you shop. Clicking on each of the photos above, will take you directly to their Etsy listing.
