Sienna – Original Painting

Sienna – 5 x 7 inch acrylic painting on Ampersand gessobord

Yes, I am continuing this series of portraits…because I love painting them! I’m experimenting with colors and texture…and these latest have strokes of gold paint included too…a slight nod to Mr. Klimt.

This painting is now available in my online art shop, ArtcyLucy Studio.

I want to thank my customers too, for all the support they have given me this summer! What a true compliment to an artist, when someone loves their art enough to purchase it for their own home! A nice surprise came along a couple of weeks ago, when I was mailing off some paintings at my local post office, and one of the employees (who helps me quite a bit!) told me she had looked at my online shop, and wanted one of my paintings! I walked out the door with a huge smile on my face! Knowing that others love my paintings, keeps me motivated to keep painting myself!

DailyPaintworks.com has been a boon to my art sales too…I have so much more exposure to my art, as well as being privileged to have my art shown alongside some really talented artists that work very hard! I am acquainting myself with what inspires other artists, which, in turn, inspires me. And I am slowly acquiring artwork from daily painters, like Dolores Holt, whose style and brushwork really interests me! I love the perspective of her paintings, and she is not afraid of color!  THIS painting just arrived today, and it is a beauty! It is already framed, and on my wall!

And just a little reminder….

My END OF SUMMER SALE! is still on, until the end of this month…so take a look…there may be one there, that you just LOVE.
