October Faces

This is how I filled most of my art time in October…painting faces!

I tried all different kinds of media, from acrylic, to gouache, to pencils, pens, pastels…and sometimes a mix of all of them. I also tried painting on different substrates, from smooth Bristol paper, to cold pressed watercolor paper, to paper bags from the grocery store. It was a blast to just play with faces, and color…or even lack of color.

Most of the faces for the month, were made for my own experimentation. I really enjoyed getting to play with shapes of the human face…faces are my favorite thing to paint!

A few of my favorites for the month, have ended up in my online art shop.

It’s just about November…less than an hour away. And I can’t wait to see what art adventures are in store for the new month!
