Adelaide

Adelaide – 5 x 7 inch acrylic painting on Ampersand Gessobord

Yes, I am still painting…I am on track now, about ready to end the month meeting my goal of 30 paintings in 30 days. We are on the home stretch! This has been a fun month, even though I had days of no painting, and days of a lot of painting…it worked out well for me. This is the last of a set of three portraits I did at once. I moved on to landscapes for a while after this, and I will start showing you those tomorrow. For now, we have this lovely vintage look going on. I finished a book last month, about Manet, and his model, Victorine, and it mentioned how she wore a black ribbon around her neck for many of his paintings of her. So, I decided to add one to Adelaide. I thought it went well with her sweet neckline and rosy cheeks!

Adelaide has now joined the other portraits I’ve done this month, in my Etsy shop.
