September’s painting #2

AQuietAfternoon

My goal for September 2013 is to paint 30 paintings in 30 days…this is my second one for the month.

“A Quiet Afternoon” is a lovely 5 x 7 inch acrylic painting on Ampersand Gessobord. This is painted from a photograph I took while on a road trip. It was a quick shot, taken from the car, but I knew that one day I wanted to paint it. I love the brightened colors of the hill, against the blues of the sky. And of course, those clouds were SO much fun to paint! There is something so calm and wonderful, as seeing trees happily situated on a hill. I am hoping this is just one of many tree paintings to come.

“A Quiet Afternoon” is now available in my online art shop.  SOLD, Thank you!
