I’ve discovered a way to wear my digital art around my neck :-) Curious???

I have transferred digital images onto domino game pieces, and then added layers of shine to them. I attached a pendant bail to the back, and there you have it…altered art to wear!

Are you tired of “cookie cutter” jewelry? Or does one of kind jewelry appeal to you? Would you like to wear a conversation piece? Or give a unique piece of jewelry art to a good friend? These are all available here.

…my new series of canvas collages.

I love the look of “old world” art. I have collected quite a few images on tintypes, cabinet cards, and vintage postcards, and I LOVE using them in my work. Along with bits of ephemera, old stamps, papers with handwriting, book pages and paints…these family memories come alive.

“Family Gathering” is an 8 x 10 collage on canvas board

Both of these collages are now available for purchase.

…oh, and a GREAT image! These are the components to a great collage…add a dash of words, a button or two, and you have a little masterpiece!

I have had some great workshops lately, and in those, I have learned the lovely art of creating interesting backgrounds. I love how it provides a “textured” effect and adds a mix of color to the old fashioned image.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…nothing thrills me more than creating a collage using vintage bits of ephemera, images, buttons, papers, paints, textures…ahh…I am at my most peaceful when I am creating art! I love how imagination takes over, and what vision you had at the beginning, evolves into something usually much more in depth than you had planned. My best work comes, when I don’t overthink a piece, and decide to just have fun, and see where it leads me!

This is one I call, The Dawn. I used vintage piano paper for the wording, and bits of cloth, and buttons to add more texture and interest. The image is a copy from an old Munsey magazine, about a hundred years old!

I am trying to be more brave about color! The family of reds seem to be one of my favorites! This is an 8 x 10 collage on canvas board. It sits perfectly on an easel, in a frame, or on a fireplace mantle. If you are interested in this piece, or any of my other collages, please feel free to see my Etsy shop.

I am also happy to announce that I am taking orders for custom made collages, made from your own family images. If you are interested something special, for either yourself, a family member, or a friend, please email me at ArtcyLucy@aol.com
